Men’s Ministry~ “MeetingEveryNeed” of the single moms, widowed, and disabled.
There are approximately 20 men who make up four teams that meet on the last Saturday of each month to go to the homes of our widows, single moms and the disabled, for two hours to make repairs, mow grass, trim hedges, shovel snow, etc. Our desire is to do anything we can do to help these people. This has been a very exciting and fulfilling ministry.
Ladies Bible Study
Almost every Monday morning, from June through September, a group of ladies meet at the home of Carole Sisco for a Bible Study. The ladies that have attended this Bible study have grown closer to the Lord and to each other. They are committed to pray for one another’s specific needs. They are a covenant group that leans on one another for support, prayers, and friendship.
Prayer Groups
Queen Village Bible Church believes strongly in prayer and therefore holds several prayer groups throughout the week.
- On Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 6:45 there is a group that meets in the church to pray for the needs that have come into the church during the week.
- On Saturday night at 7:00, a group meets in the church to pray for the services the next day, inviting God’s presence and power to meet with not just Queen Village Bible Church, but every church that preaches the Word of God. This time always ends with the group gathering around Pastor Bubb and laying hands on him, asking for God’s anointing and power to be on him when he preaches the next day.
- On Sunday Morning at 10:50 a group meets in the church library to pray for the service and again for the pastor to be anointed of God.
Prayer Chain
Queen Village Bible Church has a Prayer Chain Ministry whereby people can call in with their needs and immediately a group of people go to prayer concerning those needs. We welcome calls from anyone and anywhere. The number is 315-245-1025.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This is a special ministry that was started a couple of years ago. When we are made aware of a need, a shawl is brought to the front of the church and a group will pray over it asking for God’s will to be done in the situation. The shawl will then be delivered to the person explaining that even though there is no special power in the shawl, it represents the prayers of the people at Queen Village Bible Church. Since the conception of this ministry we have given out over 70 shawls all over the country, some as far away as Texas.
50 Plus Ministry
On the last Wednesday of each month at 1:00, all 50 years old and older are invited to meet in our fellowship hall. Each one brings a dish to pass. There is a time of singing, a short devotional and a time of prayer.
Family Night Ministry
Every Wednesday night from 7:00 – 8:00 (except during the months of July and August) we have Family Night. This is Queen Village Bible Church’s Christian education program. There are classes for all ages, along with an adult Bible Study, and a ladies Bible study. We encourage our people to make Family Night a priority of their week.
Fire Victim Ministry
This is a fairly new ministry that we have begun. When a family burns out we take a tote filled with things that they usually do not receive from the Red Cross or other organizations to help them in their time of need.
Children’s Ministry
We have three separate children churches that meet Sunday mornings during the regular service time. These are services that are geared to each different age group to give the children not only an understanding of the Word of God on their level, but also, a good experience about attending church.
